Greeley City Council approves $125K settlement after Greeley Police Department vehicle hits car

Greeley City Council voted to approve a $125,000 settlement agreement with a woman who was in a car hit by a Greeley Police Department vehicle. 

The woman, Manuela Sanchez, filed a claim for the physical injuries she sustained on March 22, 2022. The claim included damages for medical treatment, prescriptions, therapy, severe pain and suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, loss of earnings, and loss of property, according to city documents. 

The GPD vehicle was not engaged in emergency activity at the time, according to the city.
