Weld Community Foundation releases new podcast called ‘Where Water Flows Uphill’ with help from NoCo Optimist, High Plains Library District
By Kelly Ragan
Our friends at the Weld Community Foundation have been working on a podcast series called, “Where Water Flows Uphill.”
As you may have guessed by the name, it’s partly about water. It dives into how water shaped Greeley into the community it is now and how it continues to do so today.
It also asks this question of its listeners: In the coming flood of change (read: population growth, political shifts, climate change, water supply, etc.), who do we want to be?
In its first episode, Where Water Flows Uphill follows renowned artist Wes Bruce as he creates a large-scale, interactive art installation at the new Library and Innovation Center in downtown Greeley (you know, the thing going in at the old Greeley Tribune building, may it rest in peace).
The NoCo Optimist lent some reporting power to the project.
In various episodes, you can catch NoCo Optimist reporters chatting about recent moves by the City of Greeley, such as pursuing the Terry Ranch Project, and about historical moves that changed the course of water in Colorado forever, such as the creation of the Colorado Big Thompson Project.
