Classic soft rock legend Air Supply is set to perform Friday, April 1 at the Union Colony Civic Center.

The famous duo, Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, will perform through six decades of their top-selling hits, including “Sweet Dreams,” “Making Love Out of Nothing at All” and “Lost in Love,” according to a news release.

The two met in 1975 on the first day of rehearsals for the Australian production of Jesus Christ Superstar in Sydney, according to the band’s website. They became fast friends and recorded a couple songs on cassette. Three major record companies rejected them before they got a record deal.

Air Supply’s catalog included seven consecutive top-five singles and the “Song of the Year” for their breakout hit, “Lost in Love.”

In 2013, Air Supply joined the Australian Recording Industry Association’s Hall of Fame. In 2020, Australian newspaper The Herald Sun designated the band as one of the top five “Greatest Aussie Bands,” according to the release – a distinction shared by AC/DC, The Bee Gees and INXS.
